Pevonia Botanica Case Study

Overview

Pevonia Botanica is part of Universal Aesthetics, an intricate network of specialty spa related companies structured to offer innovative product and service solutions to the spa, medical spa and salon industries all under one convenient umbrella. Universal Aesthetics is acknowledged as one of the foremost suppliers and consultants in the Australian Beauty Industry.

Before BlazingDrums was involved with Pevonia Botanica’s internet strategy, the company had a static web site with out dated design elements which were very slow to load. Our task was pretty clear – to design an aesthetically pleasing website that would attract visitors, get more enquiries and sell the clear messages of the benefits of the finest products and treatments in the beauty and spa industry.

Initial Brief

  • To design and build an attractive website that reflected the new packaging and corporate branding
  • To create layouts and images that were quick to load and easy to navigate
  • To showcase the Pevonia Botanica product range and educate visitors on the benefits
  • To attract a wide target audience that included consumers and spa professionals
  • To give Pevonia Botanica the ability to change and update content / images
  • To promote and advertise new product ranges and treatments.

Phase 1 – Consumer and Professionals Site

BlazingDrums designed and built a clean and crisp looking website with rich imagery evoking elements from nature to showcase the elegent new Pevonia skin care product range containing only the finest botanical ingredients. The colours on the site also reflect the colours of the different product ranges.

The site structure was built based on a study of the various users and their needs, example a section for Professionals only, making navigation easier and user-friendly. One can also access the key content of the site in a variety of ways: either by selecting products by name or by reading short descriptions or linking to products from the News page. The testimonials sprinkled across the site also help create the image of a successful business.

BlazingDrums also built the site with a content management tool that enables Pevonia to easily add new content and keep their website fresh and up-to-date.

Phase 2 – Members Area (still in development)

To generate an order takes time for both the spa/salon and the sales staff at Pevonia Botanica. As with any business, Pevonia Botanica are keen to increase their sales closure rate and provide the buyer the flexibility to place an order at a time suitable to them. Phase two of the development will provide a tool to help the sales team achieve this.
